The Heritage No.16 door is part of the Kershaws Custom Range. These doors are ideal as external replacement doors and also the perfect choice for new properties with traditional styling. This classic 1920's, 1930’s design is very popular as many properties were built around this time, consequently these doors re-establish the original designs found in homes of this era. The top apertures of this door are configured as an asymmetric sunburst feature, typical of the era and influenced by Aztec imagery. As this particular door is supplied unglazed it is ready to add your own glazing and will accept single or double glazed units. Timber beads are supplied to complete the door after glazing. The triple, lower panels have raised cricket bat features again characteristic of the early 20th century. The door is supplied pre-primed and ready to paint in your chosen colour. Please refer to our finishing page for recommended products and techniques to use. This door is made in the UK by traditionally skilled craftspeople to suit your individual size of opening. Each door is manufactured using solid lengths of kiln-dried timber, clamped and joined in the traditional manner of Mortice and Tenon. Modern glues, which chemically bond the timbers, are used for added strength. The solid panels utilise man-made, moisture resistant materials, which give more stability than the original, conventionally used timbers.
